One child was strapped onto my back as the other crawled in the playpen. I worked 12 hour days for months sanding and taking wallpaper off, all with one child. Ha! It was all falling into place, but it was not quite done. In this undertaking I was ready to spend a considerable amount of time and money searching for the perfect home. I started receiving calls from people asking me for assistance with home improvements and interior design. They were mostly people that came to my house for furniture. It wasn't long before I was managing a full-scale home renovation company. It began with taking clients one by one with a speed I felt confident in. It is likely that I would have been laughing if someone had told me the venture was going to be part of a forthcoming tv program on DIY Network. In fact, I do amused when I think of the idea.
