April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She started with guitar and piano in the 7th grade, which ignited her interest. At the age of seven, April began taking piano and guitar lessons. The lessons sparked her passion to write songs. When April was 14 years old, she devoted long hours developing song ideas and perfecting her music. The following years, she took writing trips together with her dad to LA in addition to NY. April included other subjects in her track"Take my Hand. These topics were for friends that dealt issues like peer pressure, issues or even teenage suicide thinking. Lockhart is a popular figure and is a lifestyle blogger with the popular Ilia Clean Beauty brand. She was not born with a left hand, and that is what makes her the person she is. But that's far from the full story. The profile of Lockhart on Twitter does not ignore the fact that she is disabled and does not make a point of it. What message is it sending? The message? We have many different aspects, that our identities and physical bodies aren't what they appear. Lockhart said via video that she does not want to be defined by her handicap. She doesn't wish to become a disability advocate who only talks about that. There are a variety of aspects to Lockhart. My day-today life is not directly affected by disability. I lead a normal, everyday life and find my own solutions to problems. But it's also a part of me so I think it's essential to discuss. Lockhart inspires us to keep striving to be self-accepting. Still, she acknowledges going through periods of feeling insecure about her body, and also feeling uneasy wearing certain clothing styles that exposed her arms. Now she wears whatever outfit she likes and uploads photos on Facebook with pride. Self-love, according to her, is a kind of journey. "I don't think you will ever be in that place," she said. It's a fact that I see common to everyone regardless of what they are struggling with. It is important to have people in your life who know and can relate to you. They will be the ones to ask you: What do you think about?
